Undefeated by Stuart Reardon and Jane Harvey-Berrick

Holy WOW! We'll get to my actual review in a bit, but this book!! Powerful. Moving. Inspiring. Haunting. I was only at 47%, the beginning of Part Two, and I absolutely had to get some sleep. This darn book woke me after only a few hours of sleep, and as I was in that almost awake stage, the words and thoughts on this book started consuming my mind, so it was either get up and write things down or lose them. This is one of those books that will stay with me far after the last page. It's one I'll be eager to revisit, and it's one that will reveal new gems of wisdom and insight each time I read it. Before I forget, here's the Amazon link to the book, because you're definitely going to want this one in your library! Now, for my review. Not only five stars, but definitely in my list of top ten books of all time! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Vulnerably honest, painfully raw, surprisingly frank and ruggedly realistic, this amazing work is an inspiring reminder of the indomitable h

Diamonds and Dirt Roads by Erin Nicholas

Image
Erin Nicholas has a new series, Billionaires In Blue Jeans, and the first book is fantastic!! Grab it here while it's at the new release price.  This book is so much fun and takes the reader through a wild ride of emotions. Definitely five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My review: Erin Nicholas has been one of my go-to authors for quite awhile, so I was thrilled to be able to read this book early! If you’re like me, when you saw this book you may have said, “Ug, not another billionaire romance,” but this is a really unique, fun twist on that trope because this time the billionaires are the heroines, and these heroines are wonderful! Three triplet sisters whose only likeness is their physical appearance because their personalities are vastly different. The backstory is their father, Rudy Carmichael, moved to small town Bliss, Kansas, to live a simple life and open a pie shop. After his death, the sisters learn that in order to inherit they have to move to Bliss and make the pie shop a success

Sweet Crazy Song by Vivian Lux (Plus A Freebie!)

Image
Now Available here !   Sweet Crazy Song is the first full-length novel in the Kings of Crown Creek series and it starts off with a bang! I really thought Ms. Lux couldn't do better than the boys from the Wreckage series, but I was wrong, and I'm not afraid to admit it. 😉 This first book is really phenomenal! Here's my review - five stars, of course!    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Someone once said, “When words fail, music speaks.” Although this is a novel, constructed with words and phrases, sentence structure, paragraphs and chapters, the music eloquently tells the story of Ruby and Jonah’s journey to happily ever after. With a flowing melody, a sometimes dissonant harmony, a dramatic crescendo and sweet, evocative final notes, “Sweet Crazy Song" will have your heart joining in the symphony. Vivian Lux has once and for all won me over to the rock star genre! I don’t know how it’s possible, but each new book is better than the last, and this book is a fantastic beginning to the Kin

Anna's Dress by London Casey & Jaxson Kidman

Image
If you've never read something by London Casey or Jaxson Kidman you're really missing out. Kidman, especially, isn't satisfied until he cuts deep enough to hit a vein and bleeds out emotion into the pages of the story, leaving bits of his soul behind, and this one is so full of emotion it will swallow you up! My review:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ K idman and Casey really delivered on this one! It’s not the angsty, “I can’t make up my mind" or love/hate book typical of young adult fiction, but a tenuous, tragic, harrowing look at devastated lives where hope, redemption and love win in the end. There’s so much authentic emotion that Evan and Dena’s story draws you in, ties your heart in knots and clings to your psyche long after the last page. Anna and Adena were both effected differently by their parents' deaths. Dena, being the older sister, was the responsible one who constantly tried to put the pieces back together as Anna went off the rails, always leaving a wake of destruc

Dreams Collide by Kristina Beck

This is the second book in the Collide series, and it's every bit as good as the first! Grab it now, as well as the first book, so you'l be ready for the third book in the series, coming out later this year. This series is really terrific! Here are my reviews on this book and the first, Lives Collide.  Dreams Collide 💜💜You'll Laugh, You'll Cry, You'll Love This Book!! 💜💜 By BookAddict on December 5, 2017 Verified Purchase We first met Tina in her sister Lisa's story, Lives Collide. After her mother dies in an automobile accident, Tina becomes “mom” to her younger sister and the glue that holds her family together. Gone is the carefree girl with the adventurous spirit who will try anything, and in her place is the girl who smiles to hide the pain and never lets anyone see her cry. She meets Gerry when her company is hired to design his restaurant's website, and there's immediate mutual attraction. Tina finds herself letting go, being

Ten Night Stand by Mickey Miller

Image
This is one sexy  cover, and one sexy book! Mickey Miller's Ten Night Stand.  This book was great fun to read, but even more fun in its creation. Mickey published a chapter at a time in his Facebook group, Mickey's Misfits, and then took the story in a direction recommended by his readers. The discussions within the group and the anticipation of what would actually transpire with the characters kept this story in the forefont of my mind for weeks. Even without having participated in this book's evolution, I would still recommend it for a rolliking read! Below is my review, and the book has an intro price of only 99 cents (good at time of posting). 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Another Winner You Won't Want To Miss!! By BookAddict on January 19, 2018 Not only is this a great book to read, the process of it's creation was great fun for Miller's readers as he released a chapter and readers voted on what would happen next. By turns raw and gritty, sweet and heartfelt, sexy

It's All Mickey's Fault - Innaugural Post of BookAddict Romance Blog

For the past ten months, I've been doing book reviews and have amassed a collection of over 350 in that time. Several times, I've been fortunate enough to have authors use my words to promote their work (which is really a kick!) and a few times I've had friends and even authors tell me I really should do a blog. The other day, I just happened to look at a new release I'd just recently reviewed. My review wasn't what I would even consider a great one - just a one paragraph "this book is great fun, get it now!" kind of review, rather than a review on a book that makes me so verklempt I have to wear out the thesaurus to express myself adequately and take up more than a page in a Word document. Well imagine my surprise when I saw some of my words in the editorial review being credited to "BookAddict Blog." It was Mickey Miller's Ten Night Stand, which really was a hugely fun book! (See the next post for my review.) Well, I certainly didn'
