Undefeated by Stuart Reardon and Jane Harvey-Berrick

Holy WOW! We'll get to my actual review in a bit, but this book!! Powerful. Moving. Inspiring. Haunting.

I was only at 47%, the beginning of Part Two, and I absolutely had to get some sleep. This darn book woke me after only a few hours of sleep, and as I was in that almost awake stage, the words and thoughts on this book started consuming my mind, so it was either get up and write things down or lose them.

This is one of those books that will stay with me far after the last page. It's one I'll be eager to revisit, and it's one that will reveal new gems of wisdom and insight each time I read it.

Before I forget, here's the Amazon link to the book, because you're definitely going to want this one in your library! Now, for my review. Not only five stars, but definitely in my list of top ten books of all time! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Vulnerably honest, painfully raw, surprisingly frank and ruggedly realistic, this amazing work is an inspiring reminder of the indomitable human spirit. “When your world crashes down . . . When they all say you’re out . . . When your mind is broken . . . I will rise . . . I will return . . . And I will be undefeated.”

Yes, of course there's romance – hearts and flowers, passion and steam – but this book is infinitely, epically more! Talk about baring the soul! . . .  (more)

Now, a few thoughts on the two people behind this story. I've been in love with Jane's work since I first read One Careful Owner, a wonderful story about a damaged hero and his dog that really tugs at the heartstrings. If you've read any of her work, you already know she's a fantastic author. She's also a wonderful, amazing lady, and the first author I came across to do a serialized romance in her newsletter, which she later published. Learn more about her here.

Stuart Reardon. What can I say about Stu? Absolutely nothing from firsthand experience, but I've stalked, er, followed him on Facebook a little and caught a quick glimpse behind the curtain. This is one heck of a debut novel and I'm both astounded and humbled by the authenticity of his writing. It takes a lot to put pieces of yourself out there for the whole world to see. Clearly, he's so much more than a striking cover model with an endearing blush. And did anyone else notice that adorable nervous habit of twirling that bit of hair at the back of his neck? (Sorry Stu, I couldn't resist a little teasing. ❤) Its hard to imagine that he can top this book, because it's just that great, but I bet he still has a few tricks up his sleeve.😉 Until next time dear reader,

Much love between the covers,
