This Rockin' Rodeo Series is a delightful blast from the past! Set in the days before cell phones, the internet, and smart appliances, it makes me nostalgic for simpler times. As simple as some things may have been back then, love hasn’t changed over all this time and was still fraught with complications. With cowboys Carolyn Brown, the queen of cowboy romance, would love and strong, determined heroines that make a woman proud, the Rockin' Rodeo characters make for an exciting, swoon-worthy read. 

Levi Banks is a no-good cowboy that Olivia Marsh wouldn’t give two cents for and wants nothing to do with. But when something unexpected arises, Olivia and Levi have little choice but to work together to help someone else in need. As they grow closer and their feelings for each other grow, there are problems and challenges that try their unity, making them both contemplate calling an end to things and walking away. 

It took me reading only one book of Tharp’s for her to become an auto-buy author for me, and this just may be her best work yet! It’s lighter on the suspense than her others, but still full of drama. And steamy chemistry. And so much emotion and heart that I was swept away by it. Between selfless acts of sacrifice, two hearts finding a home they never knew they needed, the camaraderie and support of the rodeo family, the most adorable little princess of the rodeo who has everyone (including the animals) wrapped around her little finger, and a weathered old cowboy getting a second chance on love, this book left me with a happy sigh and a huge smile while making me eager for the next book in the series. 

If you’ve never read Tharp's work and you love a good cowboy romance, this is the book for you. The business woman and independent spirit in Olivia will make you cheer and the amazing capacity for love in the gooey heart of tough rodeo cowboy Levi will make you swoon. There's enough drama to keep the most distracted mind hooked and the humor, heat and depth of heart will leave you with that awesome happy sigh. Grab this one today and fall in love with these fantastic characters!

 Born with a love for animals, Vicki Tharp pursued a career as a veterinarian, graduating from the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. Always an avid reader of romance, mystery, and suspense, she combined her interests and medical knowledge in her book, DON'T LOOK BACK.  

She makes her home on small acreage in south Texas with her husband and an embarrassing number of pets.
