This writer is one of the few voices in contemporary romance who has the ability to bring my world to a screeching halt. The second her book is available to me, everything in my life ceases to exist (sorry family) and I greedily soak up every word. That didn’t happen overnight, but time and time again her talent, humor and heart have effortlessly made me fall in love with her characters so that I will always, always need her next book in my life. 

Truthfully, I’ve been dying for Kennedy and Bennett's book. The glimpses we’ve had of them so far have been sassy, snarky and hilarious, so I knew their story would be epic, but this was so much better than I could have imagined! OMGee, the way these two dance around each other is a delicious kind of agony that builds the most tantalizing anticipation. These two snap and snip and quarrel, and it only serves to turn up the tension and heat until they finally face facts, give in to their feelings for each other, and singe everything within a ten mile radius. 

We can’t really talk about any of these stand-alone books in this series without acknowledging the Landry clan. The big, loud, crazy, interfering, endearing, delightful Landrys. With quirks for days and opinions whether or not you want to hear them, this rambunctious, larger-than-life family will make you want to move to Autre, LA, just to be in the Landrys’ orbit. Somehow, each book in this series is better than the last, and these crazy Cajuns permanently own a huge chunk of my heart. 

If you’re new to this series, Kennedy and Bennett’s story is a great place to start, but I’ll warn you. Once you get a taste of these bayou boys (and gals), it’s exactly like potato chips and you won’t be able stop with just one. The setting will intrigue you, the characters will enchant you, and their story will captivate you, so that you’ll finish the book with a happy sigh while eagerly anticipating your next encounter with these beloved characters. Do yourself a big favor and escape to Autre today!
