Take Me Again, New Release From Carly Phillips
Take Me Again, an all-new, sexy contemporary standalone from Wall Street Journal and New York Times bestselling author Carly Phillips, is available now!
He’s alpha, he’s sexy, and he’s sure he’s got life in his hands … Until Ashley Easton returns, wanting nothing to do with the playboy who broke her heart.
Sebastian Knight is a closer. Be it a business deal or the woman of his choice, everything he wants is his for the taking. Sexy and irresistible, a wink, a smile, or a handshake always seals the deal. Until Ashley returns at the worst possible time, and everything unravels around him.
The Ashley who returns is sassy and sexy--everything Sebastian craves and he wants a second chance. Despite her reluctance, his sex appeal makes it harder and harder to keep him at arm’s length.
Sebastian might have a talent for sealing the deal, but Ashley is no longer easily charmed. This time he’s going to have to work to win.
A Standalone Romance
MY REVIEW 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Is anybody else excited about a new series from Carly Phillips? The Knight Brothers series is off to a banging start with Sebastian and Ashley's story! These two have some history that didn’t end well, leaving them in different countries and Ashley with a lot of hurt and anger. They were no more than kids at the time, but Sebastian seemed to waste no time developing stellar playboy skills in the ensuing years. Now Ashley has returned to New York and is entwined with the Knight siblings as well as their tech company, and there’s no way for her to avoid Sebastian.
If ever two people were destined for each other, it’s Sebastian and Ashley, and their journey to forever is delightfully delicious. They're two people who bring out the best in each other, and both want to be better people because of the other. Their story is steamy and a little angsty but also touching and uplifting. I adored Sebastian and Ashley, devoured their story, and can’t wait to get my hands on the next Knight brother's book! Definitely another winner from Ms. Phillips!

Though she and Sebastian had been sharing a suite in California, the fact was, they lived in separate apartments in New York. No matter what she felt for him, London, her job, and her life awaited her. The sooner they got used to being apart the better.“I’m tired,” she said. “I didn’t rest much on the flight, and we have to be up early tomorrow to meet with Ethan.”His grin turned into a frown. “Why do I get the feeling you’re pulling away?”She rubbed her hands over her arms and turned away, not wanting to face him. It was one thing to pull back, another to look him in the eye while doing it. Not when all she really wanted to do was throw herself into his arms. But she lived in reality. So here they were.“Hey.” He grasped her and turned her around. “I have a question for you.”“Okay…” she said warily.“Why are you still here?”“What?” She hadn’t anticipated that question.“Why are you still here, in New York? You said you came for Ethan, but when he sent you away, you came with me. And now we’ve wrapped things up. We’re talking to Ethan in the morning. Is your flight home booked?” As he spoke, his hands on her forearms felt like a brand, a reminder that she belonged here, with him.And she couldn’t let that sway her. Although she’d put work out of her mind, she had checked in with her bosses while she was away, assured them she was returning. She’d bought herself another week, that was it. They understood her leave of absence but wanted her back as soon as possible.“I’ll take your silence to be a no,” Sebastian said, releasing her arms. “Which brings me back to why? Do you still want to be here? Or are you avoiding Mr. Perfectly Nice?”She didn’t want to talk about any of this. She still had a week left, and in that time, Ethan would need her once he found out about Mandy’s cheating. Or was that just an excuse? Because she wasn’t ready to leave Sebastian, her conscience asked her.She glared at him. “Why are you pushing me so hard just because I said I was tired?” she asked, more annoyed with herself but taking it out on him.“Because of what we shared in California. Because of what we feel for each other, even if you’re not ready to admit it. And because I want to know.”

If you do any advance copy reading of books or are in any book groups or authors’ groups on Facebook, you’ve probably seen authors and readers alike discussing their reviews disappearing from Amazon recently. Not long ago, all my reviews were deleted by Amazon, and I'll share some suggestions on what to do, should you find yourself in this situation, and some tips on how to hopefully avoid it happening to you in the future.
Sadly, Amazon’s review system, especially for books, isn’t perfect and there are certainly abuses to it, but reviews really are critical to both authors and readers. For authors, the more reviews their book has, the more notice it gets, which translates to more sales. For readers, reviews hopefully give us accurate information so we can decide if a book is worth our time and money or if we should just move along to the next one.
I’ve been reading advance copies and reviewing for a…
If you haven't yet read Pippa Grant, you're really missing out! With titles like Stud in the Stacks,Mr. McHottie, The Pilot and the Puck-Up,and her latest, Royally Pucked,(available 4/6/18) this author is either slightly deranged, incredibly clever, or maybe a bit of both. The series is loosely based on hockey-playing twin brothers, Zeus and Aries, their sister, friends and teammates. Zeus and Aries are gentle giants with unique, memorable personalities and shenanigans somehow seem to surround them.
One thing is sure. You've never had a reading experience like Ms. Grant delivers. I've read a lot of rom-coms, but her books are an entire family, interactive experience. Provided you're reading in the company of family.
I'm going to let you in on a little secret about me. I read a lot. I mean A LOT. I've done over 450 book reviews in the last year, and there are another 10 to 20 in that time that I read and didn't review. As you can imagine, they all blur together, and only the truly exceptional authors and works leave an indelible mark on me. Jaxson Kidman is one of those authors.
But I have yet to begin to figure him out. It's undeniably evident he gives everything of himself to every work. His work is vulnerable. It's transparent. It's authentic. His pain, his tragedies and his triumphs are all there, laid bare for the reader to experience. Why? That's the part I don't understand. Why would anyone be willing to flay himself open for the whole world to see? It could be that it's cathartic. Perhaps it's a way of exorcising demons. Some might say it's a gimmick to sell books, but anyone who has read his work knows that's not the case. What I do know i…
