Chloe Sawyer and Oliver Pemberton's history is complicated. Their mothers are best friends, so Chloe and Oliver grew up together. They've been friends, rivals, competitors and lovers, but they always fall back into the frenemy zone. It’s been three years since they dreamed and planned a future together and then Oliver ghosted Chloe, but now he's back and expects Chloe to forget the past and go into the distillery business with him. 

 My, oh my. Never have I seen such an immature, charming, selfish, endearing hero who messes things up one side and down the other like Oliver. Yet somehow he connived his way right into my heart and, although I wanted to shake him throughout the book, his charm and vulnerability had me desperate for him to finally get it right with Chloe. Fortunately for Oliver, Chloe is much more forgiving than I would be, because these two really are perfect together. Good thing he's just as loveable and forgivable as he is reckless and impulsive. 

 With authentic Michigan flavor and a cameo from the state bird, the mosquito, the sights, sounds and colors of the scenes come alive through the words of Ms. Harlow.
