I love a touching, emotional romance that you feel deep in your soul, but they rarely make me cry. This story though – good golly, Miss Molly, Rosa ruined me! She held my heart in her hands, from the very beginning with her time in a vile foster home and her horrible father and brother, and all the way through to the end of the book. She's strong and smart and determined, but the deck is stacked against her, and it’s no wonder she’s waiting for the other shoe to drop. 

In an effort to avoid spoilers, I won’t give you a synopsis, but I have to tell you more about these amazing characters! Rosa had a really rough childhood, and the one bright light in a bleak existence was Marco, until circumstances separated them. Rosa is knocked down time and time again, and somehow she gets back up to keep on fighting, every single time. Marco has a lot of responsibility placed upon him when he's hardly more than a kid himself, but he works diligently to make a better life for his family and he never gives up on Rosa. Even after four years without her, Marco has faith that his family will one day be whole. 

If you like a book with vivid, complex, realistic, endearing characters, you’ll find them here. Rosa and Marco will make you feel everything, as if you’re experiencing it yourself, and they’ll own your heart throughout their journey to forever.
