If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to get a second shot at a first-chance love then this is the book for you. They were thirteen when they shared their first kiss. Immediately following that kiss their worlds imploded and the two best friends were torn apart. Padric's family left Lost Harbor and Zoe never heard from him again. That is, until two meddling teenagers reach out to the world-famous rock star and he returns to Lost Harbor. For Zoe.
I already adore this series, set in a small coastal town in Alaska, but Padric and Zoe's story is the multi-platinum book of the series! Zoe and Padric are both swoon worthy and absolutely perfect. Yes, they each have flaws, but they’re so beautifully written it only serves to endear them even more to the reader, and in no time at all they had both stolen my heart. Oh, who am I kidding? They had me at that first kiss!
Then, add in Padric's phenomenal lyrics and all of the challenges they have to overcome for their relationship to make it, not to mention the emotional ebb and flow that battered me and then left me euphoric, and gah! I’m just done. This book ruined me in the most delicious, delightful, heartfelt ways and left me dying for more! I can’t wait to read the next book in the series and spend more time in my favorite Alaskan town. I want to check in with Zoe's mom and see what trouble her twin sisters are up to, but most importantly, I’m giddy to see what's in store for Nate, our next hero!
