Holy carp, what did this writing duo just do to me?!! They made me love an anti-hero who is 100% despicable and then totally pulled the rug out from under me, leaving my brain scrambled and my mouth agape! Yeah, yeah, it's the mafia trope with the girl wed against her will, but it's so dang hypnotizing, riveting and mind blowing, and I loved every second!
It’s one thing to have an arranged marriage, but when the bride is given for the payment of her father's sins, and neither the bride nor the groom are in on the plan, it’s something else entirely. Kostas is well on his way to becoming the ruthless businessman his father is, using force, torture and murder to make a point. Talia is a sweet, innocent college girl with her first boyfriend who gets dragged into a very different world.
Now, if you're like me and despise the cliffies, just make sure you read this before December 12th so you’re ready for what I have no doubt will be an epic conclusion to Kostas and Talia's story. I can’t wait to see what's in store for these two. As different as they are, and as much as Talia balks, I have a feeling this is a match made in . . . well, not quite Heaven, and I can't wait to read the rest of their story!
