With a fascinating peek behind the curtain of indie publishing, a few eye-opening secrets are revealed by way of Rose Thorne, a struggling new author. There's no coincidence that she works for Dr. Declan Sincock and the name of the hero in her work in progress is Eclan. But just because Dr. Sincock is a sex therapist doesn’t mean Rose can go to him for help with the sensual scenes in her book. As a preacher's daughter, Rose grew up being sheltered, so will she be able to she screw up her nerve, take the plunge and learn from Dr. Sexpert?
Thank the gods of all things smexy that Logan Chance doesn’t take himself too seriously. Sincock. Really? An author who bestows that moniker on the hero has no trouble laughing at himself, which just makes for that much more laughter on the part of the reader. And “haterousal?” Bwahaha! This one had me in stitches through the entire book. When I wasn’t blushing, that is. Because that taco euphemism? Whoo boy!
Here are all the bits we like covered in a review. I loved Declan and Rose, most definitely felt their chemistry, and enjoyed every second of their journey. It was also great to catch up with characters from previous books -- Jonah, Ethan, Booker and their ladies. The balance between humor, heat and heart was perfect, and the story moved easily and quickly, keeping my attention with no trouble at all.
But what you really need to know is that reading this book is just so darn much FUN! It’s like that feeling, when the roller coaster pulls back up to the platform, and you’re punch drunk on giddiness, stumbling around and laughing like a hyena as you make your exit. It’s so great you want to run around, get back in line and ride it again! Well, my reader friend, hang on tight and get ready for the ride of your life with Dr. Sincock!
